Liz completed the Bread Angel’s Micro Bakery course in July 2013 and fell in love with the magic of bread. She then spent the following year volunteering in bakeries and cooking schools around London, and working alongside other bakers. In 2014 she was runner up in the Home Baker category in the World Bread Awards. This spurred her on and in 2015, she opened her micro bakery selling her award winning breads to her local community
The Bread School came next, as there is nothing better than sharing something you really love with others. And love it, she does. This can be seen in the continual 5 star reviews that she receives for all of her classes.
Liz says ‘I love what I do. With three or four simple ingredients I can make something that tastes wonderful and makes people smile. The process is calming and satisfying and the smell is amazing.
I love seeing the success of my students, there is a real ‘wow’ moment when their bread comes out of the oven. I love hand crafting and baking bread for my new community and stopping to chat when they pop in to pick up their just baked bread. What could be better?’
